2024 Lunar New Year Celebration 龙年庆典
We had a GREAT turnout at the LNY celebration! Performances were spectacular - you all did great, we're so proud of you! Thank you for everyone who came to join us in this important event, and big shoutout to all of our volunteers, partners and sponsors! We hope to see you again next year!

The South Shore Chinese School was founded by parents and educators who saw the need for teaching language and heritage to help our children understand and appreciate their cultural identity. Our school recognizes and respects the diversity and beauty within the Chinese language and community, and the importance of extending that same appreciation and respect to all groups of people. SSCS held a parent conversation circle in April where we engaged in open dialogue with our families and show support for one another.

When the Pandemic hit in March 2020, our school pivoted and moved all of our classes online. The school came together and celebrated our end of year virtually with some special messages from our teachers.

We welcomed the Year of Pig with lots of fun activities, including lion dance, student performances, arts and crafts stations, photo booth, and lots of great raffle tickets. The event was attended by more than 300 people at the Braintree High School.
