NOTE: All of our teaching positions are part-time basis. Number of hours worked per week varies, depending on how many classes a teacher takes on.

Part-Time Weekend In-Person Language Teacher 周末面对面语言教师
The Weekend In-Person Language Teacher will be responsible for teaching and managing their assigned class. Our program will have available a set curriculum with storybooks, activities, and songs. Supplementary materials about Chinese traditions, special holidays, and important events may also be used. All in-person classes are taught at South Shore YMCA building, located in Quincy, MA.

Cantonese Program employs traditional characters and Jyutping. Takes place on Sunday mornings from 9:30-11:30 AM.
Mandarin Program employs simplified characters and Pinyin. Takes place on Sunday afternoons from 12:00-2:00 PM.
粤语课使用䌓体字和粵拼教学. 于周日上午 9:30-11:30 上课.
普通话课使用简体字和拼音教学. 于周日下午 12:00-2:00 上课.
Job Responsibilities 工作范围:
Prepare weekly lessons 准备每周课程
Set up and clean up classroom 设置和清理教室
Classroom behavior management 课堂行为管理
Implement student-centered teaching methods with differentiated instruction strategies 实施以学生为中心的教学方法和分批法教学策略
Monitor student progress in language acquisition through informal assessments 通过非正式评估检视学童的语言发展
Prepare progress reports at the end of each school semesters 准备学期进度报告
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions 参加员工会议和专业发展会议
Qualifications 资格:
Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin as well as written Chinese 流利粤语或普通话以及书面中文
Passion for education and working with children 热衷教育和与儿童工作
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills 有领导能力和人际交往能力
Experience working with children are highly desired 有与儿童工作经验為佳

Volunteers 志愿者 (义工)
Volunteers will assist classroom teachers in assigned tasks, either in-person or online. Volunteers will be working with teachers and/or other parent volunteers to prepare and/or deliver lessons.
志愿者(义工) 将于面对面或在线课室里协助教师完成所分配的任务. 志愿者将与教师和/或其他家长志愿者一起准备和/或授课.
Responsibilities 工作范围:
In-person programs 面对面课程:
Help set up and clean up classroom 协助教师设置和清理教室
Pass out and/or collect learning supplies and materials 分发和/或收集学习用品和材料
Support students during class, including writing characters, reading stories, and other small-group activity
在课堂上为学生提供支援, 包括写字、阅读故事和其他小组活动
Online programs 在线课程:
Assist with breakout room activities in Zoom 协助 Zoom 里面的分组讨论室活动
Assist in facilitating class activities 协助进行课堂活动
Qualifications 资格:
Strong knowledge of the Chinese language highly preferred 具有广博中文语言知识优先考虑
Prior experience in working with children helpful (not required) 有与儿童工作经验為佳 (非必要)
Caring, outgoing, and able to relate to children 有爱心、外向、能与孩子相处
Take initiative and work collaboratively with colleagues 有主动性并能与同事协作
